As an illustrator and storyteller, Krystal Lay (b. 2001, Singapore) has a keen interest in exploring the capabilities of children's stories as a gateway for philosophical thoughts.
Her interests have led her to co-found and direct TLDR (The Living Dream Room), a youth arts collective that uses the Printmaking medium to bring storytelling to a conventional gallery space. In December 2022, they will be holding their first exhibition in *SCAPE as part of RYSP Season 2 and Singapore Art Week 2023.
She is currently pursuing a diploma in Fine Arts at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Art, where she was conferred the Goh Teng Lin Scholarship award in 2022, the Dean’s List Award in 2021 and 2022, and the Tan Chay Bing Entry Scholarship award in 2020.
